Soaring Eagles Singles Ministry Organization President: Sister Mabel Hanna-Tabb Advisors Meetings: Second and fourth Fridays of every month. Events Purpose: Mission Statement To minister to the spiritual, natural, and emotional needs of Friendly Church of God In Christ (FCOGIC) single members through committed, Christ-centered in-reach. Vision Statement: The vision of the FCOGIC Singles' Ministry is to amplify God's written Word placing it in action to meet the needs of primarily single members within a Christ-centered context. This ministry defines its success by the extent to which it fulfills Jesus' decree "By this shall all men know ye are My disciples when ye have love one to another." Guiding Principles: II. The FCOGIC Singles' Ministry is founded on the principle of service to each other, our local church, and our local community. If one of these three areas is not being addressed while we work then our efforts will be largely in vain. III. The FCOGIC Singles' Ministry is not, and nor will it ever be, just a convenient forum for dating amongst members. Our focus will always strive to be Christ-centered, not "I"- centered. |
